Julia Johnson is a professional counselor licensed in the state of Tennessee. Additionally, she is a certified brain injury specialist and certified rehabilitation counselor. Julia received her master’s degree in counseling from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 2013.
Post graduate training was performed with Arkansas Neuropsychology and Behavioral Health Clinic in Little Rock. Julia provided mental health counseling to individuals with various behavioral issues such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, Bipolar Disorder, sexual trauma, chronic pain, grief/loss, and life transitions. At St. Vincent Rehabilitation Hospital in Sherwood, Arkansas, she worked with people who had endured stroke, traumatic brain injury, chronic pain, and dementia, in addition to behavioral problems. She worked with both the clinic and rehabilitation hospital for approximately three years, before moving to the Nashville area in 2015. Julia completed her licensure for Tennessee at Lantern Lane Farm in Mt. Juliet, during which, she enjoyed her work with older adolescents, adults, and geriatric populations. She actively counseled individuals and facilitated therapy groups for persons with brain injury in a cabin setting. At an additional horse farm site, Julia worked in tandem with an equine specialist, as they provided equine therapy to clients who were struggling with various life challenges.
